Words that describe other words?

Catching up on my word-a-day calendar this afternoon, I ran across this word: zeugma. I’m intrigued by words like this. That is, words that describe the properties or uses of other words.

Does anyone know where I can find a list of these sorts of words? Please post a comment if you do!

    I am trying to think of a word that describes green. I thought of green as a gord but am teaching 3rd grade and don’t think they know what a gord is. Any ideas or web sites to refer me to. Susan Wall
